Sectional sensation

So the Scottsburg Warriorettes were the team to beat in the Scottsburg sectional. So be it. Corydon was mentioned only as one of a group of other contenders. But the Lady Panthers showed their grit. Composed and confident, they jumped to an early lead and by the end of the third quarter, had built it to 15 points.

They needed it, though, because Scottsburg finally realized they were going to have to play hard to win and play hard they did. In a furious rally, they scored 24 points in the fourth quarter before time finally ran out on them, two points short.

Meghan Bussabarger led the Lady Panthers with 14, C.J. Reed had 12 and Teresa Greer 11.

Next game is against Salem, Friday, 6 pm.

Bryan,
I loved the photograph of the Madison team at the freethrow line. Real emotion.
